Project Title: Flora and fauna survey of port lands

The Port of Brisbane comprises a wide variety of habitats ranging from marine subtidal to urban industrial across a relatively small spatial scale. Distinct flora and fauna communities will inhabit these different habitats and provide a compressed area in which to study urban environments in coastal zones. This project aims to undertake a complete flora and fauna survey of port lands and develop potential bioindicators of ecosystem health in different environs (i.e. seawall, mangrove areas, buffer zones, roost and lake).
