This award recognises the achievement of outstanding academic results throughout the student's program of study. Currently, a minimum of GPA of at least 6.55 including all courses contributing to the relevant program is required, and only the top 1% of bachelor degree graduates in the relevant Faculty may be nominated. Scholarship Winners

ADG Engineering Scholarship

The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and support students who have been educationally disadvantaged as a result of their financial circumstances and/or geographic isolation or cultural disadvantage.

Pranav Rawal was awarded this scholarship in 2015.

Bill Blake Bursary

The purpose of this bursary is to encourage and support students who experience financial hardship, whilst undertaking study in the Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) program.

Kyle Bishop was awarded this scholarship in 2015.

The Bernard and Daphne Cornish Engineering Scholarship

The purpose of the scholarship is to support meritorious students who have made significant progress in relation to the completion of an engineering undergraduate degree program but face financial difficulties in completing their degree.

Yash Kamal was awarded this scholarship in 2015.

The Philip Dimmock Memorial Bursary

Established in 1993 and maintained from the income of a Trust Fund established by Mrs Edna Dimmock, an early graduate of the University, in memory of her son.

Britney Cochrane was awarded this scholarship in 2015.

The Geotechnical Engineering Scholarship

The scholarships were established in 2012 and are maintained by an annual gift from the Geotechnical Engineering Centre GEC, funded by Golder Associates, Rio Tinto, AngloGold Ashanti and BHP Billiton.

Johnny Gian, Julius Lumsden, Samuel Oppermann and Chelsea Vincent were awarded this scholarship in 2015.

Hawken Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1950 in conjunction with the Hawken Memorial Prizes as a memorial to Robert William Hercules Hawken, Professor of Engineering from 1919 to 1947.

Amy Norman was awarded this scholarship in 2015.

National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Scholarship

The scholarship was established in 2005 and is maintained by an annual gift from the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) for the purpose of assisting a female student in the final year of a construction-related program.

Hilary van Herwaarden was awarded this scholarship in 2015.

Newcrest Mining Engineering Scholarship

The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and support meritorious 2nd year Bachelor of Engineering students complete their program. As per scholarship rules 3 (2) specific disciplines eligible for these scholarships to be advised each year.

Roger Trundle Memorial Scholarship

The Roger Trundle Memorial Scholarship was established in 2015 and maintained by an endowed gift from Marjorie Trundle, Jennifer Trundle and Matthew Trundle in memory of the late Roger Trundle [BE Civil 1977].

Joseph Cabonce and Emma McCall were awarded this scholarship in 2015.
