Collaboration between the school and industry is important for the advancement of engineering teaching and research and for a sustainable future.

Links between industry, academic staff and students ensure:

  • industry is provided with high quality engineering graduates
  • industry is provided with expert, timely advice via consulting services
  • research is conducted to progress new opportunities and solve industrial, social and environmental problems
  • programs continually evolve and incorporate the latest in industry knowledge
  • students develop practical skills and gain workplace experience prior to graduation
  • funding to progress research that will provide new opportunities and solve some of the world's major challenges

The School is also supported by an Industry Advisory Board.

We are constantly exploring ways to deliver benefits to industry and society through engineering teaching and research. Industry members are invited to contact the Head of School or School Manager to discuss any issues of interest.
